I really haven't been that impressed by the Red Sox pitching these two games at all. The Stros are just finally capitalizing tonight.

Whether we pull this out or not we have to credit Lance for buckling down after that big inning. Kid is a competitor and I'm happy he's back.

So all Marisnek has to do is hit a bunt single once every 6 games and people want him starting every game

also, the big inning could, and likely is, attributed to the downpour he was pitching in, and being unable to grip the ball.

lol. count me in the group that wants neither him nor gomez in the everyday lineup. or at minimum, other in house options currently getting shots before cycling them back in.

I agree. I thought it was coming down harder during that half inning and it looked like he more command issues compared to first inning.

You mistake my statements to be some sort of unwavering support for Valbuena... its not. I think if Bregman is ready, I could see him leap-frogging Moran.

Marisnick is a late-inning defensive replacement and pinch-runner guy till proven otherwise.

Could be... but he had those brain-lapse control innings last year too.

Would be cruising... and then wouldn't be able to find the zone against the #8 or 9 hitter.

He's still very young... like Correa... sometimes its not fair that they're basically being counted on to perform every night like vets, but they're so damn talented and hit the ground running, that its hard not to have those sort of expectations.

correct, and he no longer should have opportunities to prove otherwise, at least on the Astros.

i'm all for him being the 25th man on the team and used in that role though, if the rest of their roster affords them that luxury.
