Yeah, 90% of the time when an OF makes 2 errors in the same inning it's on the same play. Fielding miscue and then fires the ball to the wrong base or something like that.
    Thanks

Defense matter but... he is exhibit 43 (Jeter is all the other reasons) why I don't care too much about gold gloves...

He learned from the best on that front. This doesn't mean I want Terry Collins back...

    Some numbers on Jose Altuve......

-1 WAR so far this season, which is really bad.

His OPS in May is .450

His OPS this season with two strikes .... under .300

He is getting worse, his batting average the last 10 games? 130

I am not a genius -- but it seems to me that something is wrong with Jose Altuve, and it has been going on for about 5-6 weeks now. So he either suddenly got old after a strong 3 weeks to open the season... he is worn down, he has something going on off the field or he is struggling adjusting to the position change.

Seems to me that it would be a good idea to maybe give him a week or 10 days off, rather than playing him every game.

Had enough of Walker. That .196 batting average is horrible.

Meyers and Altuve should switch places in the batting order.

Early in the season when his numbers were good, he was striking out a ton, at least for him. He hasn’t been striking out as much lately - instead he’s just been having a lot of weak contact. Not sure why this is either but I think he could definitely use some time off.

That said, expect to see Joe play Dubon every day if that happens though.

They don't really have a choice but to play him.

He hasn't been the same since his oblique injury last July/August?

It was bothering him in ST too.

    @Nook

If the Astros got smart and dumped Epsada, who do you think they could get?

It is hard to say. Teams a lot of times promote from within.

I think the most likely outcome is Espada finishes the season and then if they want to move on, they do it then.
