Nope. I have evidence that can not be the case. Exhibit A: 1991-1993 Houston Astros. Starting outfield: Luis Gonzalez, Steve Finley, and Eric Anthony - all left handed. Exhibit B: all time greats Jose Cruz and Terry Puhl. Left handed and in the same outfield for 11 years. A LH CF even played between them once in a while. That was a pretty ridiculous take wasn't it? Not to mention Tucker plays RF and those guys all play CF and the organizational hope should be that one or more of them can stay in CF. I doubt any of them were drafted with the HOPE they would need to move to RH.
I'll post here since the Orioles thread isn't ready yet. Altuve was scheduled for a day off. The HBP will be described as soreness. Th truth lies somewhere between a bruise and a broken bone requiring season ending surgery. That's the narrative and they will stick with it until he returns or his surgery has been performed. Maldonado pitched yesterday and Vasquez has not pitched to him yet. Dusty has indicated his desire that every pitcher work with both catchers before the season ends. Therefore, the anticipated line-up is: 2B Hensley SS Pena DH Alvarez 3B Bregman RF Tucker 1B Gurriel C Vasquez CF Dubon LF McCormick A Diaz, Altuve and Maldonado get a day off. Unless Dusty had a dream last night...
you think Diaz is riding the pine today? I see him in the lineup somewhere. Mancini will play, this is Baltimore.
My prediction 1)Pena ss 2) Diaz 2b 3) Alvarez LF 4) Bregman 3B 5) Tucker RF 6) Gurriel 1B 7) Mancini DH 8) Vazquez C 9) McCormick CF
The Astros are what, 37-5 when Pena bats second? It's getting a bit ridiculous how good this stat is.
Probably had x-rays last night. If there was a broken bone, I think word would have already leaked, no? It's hard to keep something like that under wraps for very long nowadays.
He always talks about how little information the Astros disclose and when they disclose information, there is so much conflicting disinformation about an injury that it is difficult to tell how severe the injury actually is. Granted, my complaining about him may be viewed as irritating to others as his complaining about Astros injury disclosures are to me.
Hits and misses. A Diaz, Mancini and Y Diaz play. McCormick, Hensley and Gurriel do not. I expected McCormick and Gurriel to be off tomorrow.
Didn't you read the threads about comments from former players? It specifically mentions line-ups based on his dreams.
They have been very good keeping injury information under wraps. And other times it is inconsistent, perhaps intentionally. While frustrating, it isn't necessarily a bad move to keep info from upcoming opponents to keep them guessing.
