Well at least tell me the opponent so I can get my futures bets in.

I put some in on HOU/CHC and HOU/WAS...love both rotations.

Anyone taking McHugh or Glasnow in a parlay? That's balls. Given our history, Glasnow will strike out 20 and have a statement game. But like our chances tomorrow in a revenge game. Cole and the Astros 13-5.

What a day for our MVPs. Harden altuve and springer all getting it in.

Don't forget Justin ALCS MVP doing work.

Houston has multiple MVPs to choose from.

Plus a potential Final Four MVP....

    Pretty good times.

Despite the Astros best 4 batters being RHBs, I expect Astros will stomp RHPs this season. I hope Reddick and Kemp replace White and Marisnick in the lineup today. If Correa is miraculously cured, the lineup could be something like the following:
    Springer
    Altuve
    Bregman
    Brantley
    Correa
    Gurriel
    Reddick
    Chirinos
    Kemp

With Alvarez and Tucker also LHBs, I expect Astros are going to be in a very good position against RHPs this season and postseason. LHPs...well those guys are still screwed against the Astros Big 4.

Brantley as a cleanup hitter seems odd. Am I wrong?

Just dying to get to gametime. Beat Kentucky!! Hopefully Sampsons shenanigans haven’t distracted the team.

Traditionally, Brantley does not fit as a prototypical cleanup hitter. I'm guessing Astros are only traditional on things that are done best traditionally.

This would be a great day for an afternoon game, something to focus on until the hoops start.

Hell, Yuli's hit cleanup more often than any other lineup spot. There's something to be said for a highish average, no K hitter there, power be damned.

Bat your best hitters early in the lineup, so they get more ABs. It's not a lot more complicated than that. It's worked for the Stros for a couple of great years, no need to change now. I would say he's the 4th best hitter in the lineup until Correa returns to health.

Never said otherwise, but lineup construction has more to it than you recognize.
