All of his games pitched matter, not just his save opportunities.

Terrible first inning, but only 20 pitches for JV.

    Make-shift lineup, score some runs.

Rays swept the Yankees and Nationals at home prior to this series. They are playing great against some of the top teams in MLB.

Your glass half empty, half full is impressive.

They are 16-2 as a home underdog against the runline this year. They've only lost by more than 2 or more runs at home twice. The other 16 games they've either won, or lost by 1.

Of those 18 games, only 4 games have been against non-aces. So they've been playing really well against the opposing team's aces or top of the rotation.

2018 Verlander was a Bases Loaded virgin, until last inning.

They average 2.3 runs per game in Tampa in their career vs. the Rays.

Not having Yuli’s defense at 1B really hurts. He and Correa can’t come back soon enough.

This, but also remember that Marwin is a better defensive 1B than SS. Alex at SS, Marwin at 1B, White at 3B would have been how I arranged the three. But of the three AAA guys, Davis's defense at 1B is the best. Earlier in the season, when Bagwell was talking about how great Yuli has become at 1B, he mentioned Marwin and even Davis as being great backups. In his limited opportunities, JD has shown his scooping, stretching, and "splits" skills.

Got to laugh at Hinch continuing to play Marwin at SS when it's obvious to everyone in baseball except him that he can't play the position.

This game is a lost cause at this point. I know JV was due for regression but he’s been completely average for the month of June (except his 10K performance). Both he and Cole.

Borderline strike 3 call there but Springer is such a damn streaky hitter.
