Seth Beer the way his batting stance and the way holds, twirls the bat looks a lot like Joey Votto of the Reds. Seth really is an all around hitter. Proving Teams wrong right now. Yordan Alvarez, Seth Beer, Kyle Tucker really similar Power hitter, All 3 have great opposite field Power, Crawford Boxes will be their specialty.

Are y'all done wanting Brad Hand yet? He's regressing back to the mediocre pitcher he always was. Tanking his trade value in the process.
On the verge of blowing another save tonight.

    2019:
    CF: Springer
    2B: Altuve
    3B: Bregman
    RF: Tucker
    SS: Correa
    C: Realmuto (via trade)
    DH: Gurriel
    1B: Davis
    LF: Reddick

Treinen is the one I'd love to have. Really fallen in love with his nasty pitches. But with the Athletics doing surprisingly well, in our division, and thinking they can contend as soon as next year (if not htis year, though HIGHLY unlikely) I can't see us getting him. But I can dream. Maybe I'm hearing wrong, but isn't Iglesias (from CIN) giving up way more homers this year than in the past?

Raisel reminds me of Giles when he was in Philly honestly. Has good stuff and talented but a bit immature. My real target is Treinen but I'm just not sure Oakland gives him up.

Hand ends up luckily getting away with the save but he's been looking real bad lately. Padres fans are trying to get rid of him ASAP before his trade value keeps tanking.

Yeah, I am suspicious of Iglesias because I see so much of Giles in him. Especially his HR/9 going up from 0.6 to 1.0 this year. Yes, Hand was VERY lucky to get the save. He has been overused, and the CF really misplayed the RBI triple badly, but still, his performance has gone down. A solid lefty to compliment the likes of Devo and Rondon would be nice, but Sipp may have to do for this year.

Yep, Iglesias is a lateral move from Giles to me. They have the stuff but lose control/command so easily (probably why his HR rate has gone up this year). Iglesias is also kinda "hot-headed" and immature. I actually recall him blowing a save and giving up a homer to the Cubs when he didn't get a strike called.

Hand is just very overrated to me. He has good #'s but he looks a nervous wreck every time he's out there. I don't trust him and their fans don't either despite him being "dominant." Quote on dominant cause he's blown a good amount of saves.

    I'm off the Hand bandwagon.

I would like RHP Jared Hughes from the Reds. He is sporting a 1.27 era, 1.03 whip, and only given up 1 home run. He has a NASTY sinker, and is 5 of 6 in save opportunities. Also, Hughes is cheap and signed for 2 more years at 2.1 million and then a 3 million dollar option for 2020. He dominates left handed hitters.... .194 avg, .261 obp, and .471 ops with no home runs given up.

He's the perfect replacement for Harris for the next couple years. You need a double play with a left handed hitter up he is the guy.

Yeah he's been good but I think we'd try to go for a closer rather than a set-up guy, which I think Hughes is more of. Reds are an interesting situation. They went from having the worst bullpen to 3 top quality guys in Hughes, Garrett, and Iglesias. Will be interesting to see what they do...I like Barnhart too as a catcher. No idea what any of these guys would require in a trade though.

Disagree. They need another power arm, a non Harris/Smith/McHugh type. He would fit the bill.

I don't disagree they need another power arm. i just feel like he would bring more of the same as Giles. they have the stuff but it may still be closer by committee. i'm just very hesitant to hand him the role because he was in the same situation as giles was in philly. very good arm, but never pitched in meaningful games. remember, that was always that concern when the trade for giles was made. plus the maturity issues that i alluded to.

he's also outperforming his xFIP by 1.5 runs. his K/9 is down, and his HR/FB and HR/9 rate is up.

The Rays have made a real nuisance of themselves recently by beating some really talented teams.

Split the series and all is well. Easier today with Gurriel.

Wait...they kept Reed and White up, and sent Perez back down?

    Peculiar roster moves.

I want to chop them all up, mix them with crushed tomatoes and herbs, and make spaghetti sauce. Then, make a giant meatball out of their manager and feed it to a pack of wolves. I'll even throw in a block of parmesan. Who do these f**ks think they are? WE'RE THE WORLD CHAMPS!!! YOU'RE PRETENDERS!!! :eek:o_O

Well, if we can get past the smell..i mean...snell.
