They were willing to be stuck with Rasmus' $16 million because it filled a hole.

I have say that handing Singleton the keys to 1B was shortsighted and down right stupid. Was there a single person on this board that thought he was ready? Will ever be? Yet, somewhere in the braintrust, it was thought the best answer?

I think that's well worth the risk for the chances at a compensation pick (and the higher draft pool that comes with it).

    wow.

well, i take back what i said, both about his lack of experience, and about him potentially being only the 2nd hardest working man in Houston sports.

The front office/GM is going through the growing process too... top 100 prospect lists, grade A drafts, and organizational farm success doesn't always translate.

Luhnow still largely unproven as a MLB-level GM.

    True for virtually every pitcher.

But not every pitcher has his stuff... Consistency is what kills him.

Has a violent throwing motion... hard to reproduce... leads to wildness.

Kinda telling that he gets more effective the longer he goes into games.... the live arm settles down, more consistent results.

If you don't like Feliz, you're probably a Rangers fan
