This team is playing much better than expected at the beginning of the year, but IS NOT a playoff team YET. Now, with that in mind, we did much better than expected but we have the same team that should not make the playoffs. Now is time for the GM to make moves. We need improvement in the lineup and bullpen. Lineup, we need a number 3 hitter, a guy like Adam Lind. We need 1 or 2 vey good relievers. I trust on Straily and Feldman to do enough, but we need a better lineup. Right now, what do we have???? Altuve, Correa and maybe Gattis???? Thats all folks. We have very very bad hitters in guys like Carter, Valbuena, Carter, Marisnick. Below average in Rasmus and right now Gattis. A leadoff that has an OBP under .340. And right now Tucker is not doing much. This lineup is really bad, and is showing.
Why must Hinch insist on the lefty on lefty BS when he doesn't have a dependable lefty in the pen? Hinch is starting to piss me off more as well.
I think the club should stand pat at the deadline. Don't give up any assets...we will get there...just not this year.
yesssssss, we need to see what Singleton brings to the team. If he is bad, then we need to get a 1b through trades or Tucker moving to 1b. But, Carter is not the player we need on this team

This thread is hilarious, there might be something to be gained by playing kemp in center and letting him lead off though. Replacing Altuve is highly unlikely to have a positive effect though.
Unless the Astros make some changes fast get use to seeing this cause they can't score runs or drive them in when they count. Springer is that important to this team
Got swept by a team that was playing awful, and we did not face their best pitcher, actually, their only real good starter. This team is very bad, the lineup is weak, very weak, with a lot of bad hitters that have no idea what they are doing at the plate, swinging at everything and having bad at bats.
