That is completely pathetic. Doug Brocail needs to retire.

First time I've said something like this all season but:

IF (IF IF IF) BIG IF

Valverde is fully fit and it was a managerial decision to send Brocail out there then:

    FIRE COOPER

Before tomorrow's game preferably. Worst decision I've ever seen in a baseball game if that was a genuine decision.

If Valverde is fit and Cooper is in charge for tomorrow's game I won't be around until Cooper is unemployed.

If I had any hair left, I would pull the rest out.

Not putting Valverde in to close was the first stupid move.

Leaving Brocail in after the first two batters get on base was his second stupid move.

Leaving Brocail in after the THIRD consecutive batter gets on case was his third stupid move.

EVEN GARNER WOULD'VE HAD THE SENSE TO PUT IN THE RIGHT PITCHER

Way to blow it Brocail. He has no business closing.

I just don't see the logic.

It's a save opportunity and we need to close out the game. Where was the closer?

Brocail is NOT a closer. He has been good this year as a setup guy, but he just isn't the 9th inning big pressure guy. If you are going to throw Brocail out there, Valverde needs to be warming up in case Brocail gets into trouble. Once there were two on and no out, Coop could have gotten Valverde out of the pen to stop the bleeding.

    Pathetic.

Radio guys said Coop had Valverde unavailable from the start of the game due to him working alot of innings recently.

What a load of bollocks. We've just come off an 8 game losing streak. What the HELL was our closer doing getting tired and pitching everday during an 8 GAME DAMN LOSING STREAK? Did it not enter Coop's head that we might start winning again and then need our CLOSER

That may be true. Explain to me what, in your perception, just happened there?

    Bingo.

I can see Valverde working every so often when we are losing so he doesn't get rusty. It is something far different to burn up your closer when there are no save situations for 8 games.

If that is what happened, then Cooper needs to go.
