Well, yeah, all star break is still a ways away to assess that, but it doesnt hurt to showcase him and familiarize his name to other clubs when that time comes.
Great come back that I could not watch because it was on ROKU............and couldn't watch Friday because I don't have Apple TV
If you can post on Clutchfans, you have access to Roku at no charge. It's a free app and there is no pay wall for the games. Just download the app to either a smart TV, phone (then air stream to TV), tablet, or computer.
His chances shot up by joining a team that automatically rehabilitates him in the eyes of voters despite their own history of Apple watches.
Maybe... but not sure I've ever seen a weak pitching/strong hitting team win a division or make the playoffs (let alone go far in the playoffs). I've seen plenty of weak hitting/strong pitching teams do that... some even went all the way. Ideally you want both... but obviously if only choosing one, consistent/quality pitching will win more games vs. the contrary (mainly because hitting will be fleeting at times... or just upended by quality pitching).
Framber is THE ASTROS' #2, but he is clearly a #1 and its crazy that people here don't see it. You seriously think there are 30 SP in this league better than him? Come on. Blanco is a solid-good #3.
Things like this make me wonder how our hitting coaches have kept their jobs. And no one can offer a proper retort other than “well this former player said on his podcast that the coaches are just glorified cheerleaders so it’s ok”
Did Bregman listen to the Astros coaches? Did he listen to the hired coaches he trained with in the offseason every year? Hell if I know
I don't feel great about it for sure. I will definitely give him a few more starts before I form an opinion. I feel like Lance has earned that. Charlie Morton is a perfect example of a guy who couldn't stay healthy got a surgery and then went on a 5 year run if good health. And if Gordon is our 5th starter and can give 5 to 6 innings with 3 runs and keep us in the game. I'll take that all day. No team in the MLB has #1s in there whole rotation. He looked a lot better against the Rays. And that's what i was saying. Have a little patience my friend. Go Stros.
I know it would hurt. I think Arrighetti would be the one who could bring a decent outfield bat. I think he could bring a young controllable productive bat back. Before I get attacked I'm not advocating trading him. I just think he would get a deal done.
It feels like Framber is only going to finally be appreciated is when he's gone. Then people will realize what a stud he actually was.
