astros unable to hit rangers' starters is concerning. then again, the lineup consist of bunch of AAAA players
This. This team is ass. Mediocre, expensive ass. “JuSt gEt YoRdAn bAcK!” … as if he wasn’t part of the ass. 2 DHs (one cosplaying as OF) Ragtag OF group No 2B Whiffed on 1B again (“better than Abreu” is not the bar) Trying to bandaid & piecemeal it together. … “Window is never closed”. Dana’s supposed strength is scouting, right? @Plowman is right, start the rebuild.
I think it is a tight rope - he walked it last year too, with remaining close until your guys turn it on our you fix issues at the deadline. In someways it would be a lot easier for Brown and even Crane if we were playing like the Orioles - we sell Framber and maybe Hader and others. We aren’t there - so now we get to sit and see what happens until Altuve gets more time to turn it around or is moved to second, Alvarez is back and we get another bat.
What this team really needs is a 6 game losing streak to jump start this rebuild. There's no way this team is trading for a potential playoff piece this year to help this team win. Wait for Framber to have some really good games and then trade him to any team that'll pay the max price.
Have you seen the line up? If only the hitting coaches were the issue. It’d be a token fire at best. You know for a fact Yordan’s hand is healed? There’s a history there and it’s not pretty.
team prolly need it. they need to look themselves in the mirror and accept they're just a 0.500 ball club.
It could've been worse. We could've still been mediocre and have Bregman on the books for 6 more years and Tucker about to walk at the end of this one. At least now there's wiggle room to improve or downgrade when needed.
If we do get no hit I’ll give it to ESP for somehow getting this .500 team into the headlines and history….
True, this is why tanking is so hard to actually do because you can't control the will of your players. The movie "Major League" proved this point
