France did his part this season. He's overworked and needs skipped starts. Wouldn't be an issue if Dusty played to win more often. Astros should be leading the division by 5+ games. Now, we're desperate for every win. Hope the players haven't given up.
Whatever happens in this series will let me know if I need to waste anymore time on this team this year. Getting swept at home by 2 of their rivals in the middle of a race and not showing much heart while doing it should have been a wake up call.
False. They are absolutely built to win a championship. They just aren't playing nearly good enough to do so.
Walk. Bregman. Leadoff style. No DP and score two runs. Team needs a jolt or this game could get ugly. France has given us the most he can before load management.
This team is high on their own supply and I think it's comes from Dusty. He has said we were due for a big winning streak like the Mariners and Rangers and then we proceeded to lose like 4 of the next 6 games. Bregman said "we'll see what were made of against the Red Sox" after the humiliating sweep against the Mariners and then we proceeded to split the series at home and get blown out of the water in humiliating fashion. This team so far is all talk no walk. I hear snippets from other the guys who said they're not nervous, their is a calmness in the locker-room, etc. I hated hearing that.
Baseball is a 162 game season. Doing the right thing might not show up in a game or 50. Though, I would expect a Dusty fan to think 3 innings should judge a player.
i will continue to tune in. just like how i still tuned in in the 2020 season even though they were mid AF. however, i wish the young players get more playing time. i.e. Yainer Diaz, Chas, Meyers, JP France, Brown. I was hoping Pedro Leon got that Sept call up too but oh well.
