In 2017, while the City of Houston was drowning in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the Astros asked the Rangers to switch home and home series with the Rangers since, ya know, the entire city was under water. Utterly worthless POS Rangers GM John Daniels looked at the situation and instead of being a decent human being and doing the right thing and switching the series', he suggested that the Astros play THEIR home series in Arlington. When the Astros refused to give into that worthless POS's attempt at gain an ENORMOUS competitive advantage in the season series against the Astros he then had the f***ing BALLS to say something to the effect that. "It's really sad that the Astros turned what could have been an incredible heartwarming story of US, the Rangers, graciously offering them our facility in their time of need into a contentious situation." When he was rightfully slammed for trying to pass off that pile of unexpurgated bullsh!t, he acted like it was the single most outrageous request in the history of American sports. He claimed that they had sold out that series and there was NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT A SINGLE ONE OF THEIR FANS COULD ATTEND IF THEY SWITCHED DATES!!!!!!" The Astros home series against the Rangers was played in Tampa, I believe. And the Rangers home series was played as scheduled. I went to one of those games and this was the turnout of the most (according to worthless POS Rangers GM John Daniels) rabid fan base in the history of Major League Baseball:

MAYBE 1/10 full. NO SIR! Couldn't POSSIBLY ask THOSE die-hards to change their schedules! So, what if people are homeless and dying having lost everything they own. Karen and Kevin and their fat, stupid kids from Frisco bought their tickets already!!

I never gave a second thought to the Rangers even after the move to the AL West because, well, why WOULD anybody give that clownshow franchise a second thought? They literally did NOTHING for decades. Even today, the greatest moment in franchise history was this one time when one of their guys punched some other guy. Their second greatest moment? Another one of their guys punched some other guy.

Well, that all changed in 2017. F**** the Rangers. F*** them hard. I care A LOT about the Astros f***ing their **** UP at any and every opportunity. I want to shove it up their ass 19 times a year, regardless of the situation. F***them.

Awesome reply, thanks for that.... This should be stickied so that every Astro's fan knows why to hate Rangers even more than they already do...

(knocking on cedar wood) I'm good facing the white sox well knowing their starting pitchers can bring the rukus.

I definitely don't want to face the Yanks in a wild card game nor do I want to have the best record and face the Sox or Yanks. All these teams are equally dangerous. I'd give all four teams in the post season an equal chance of advancing to the world series.

Best starting pitching in order: Stros, White sox, Yanks...7th Rays
Best bullpens since the trading deadline: Rays, Stros, Yankees
Best hitting lineups (ops): Stros, Red sox, White sox...6th Rays, 7th Yankees.
    Most experienced managers: Dus...just kidding.
TDLR I hope the Rays and Astros keep winning and both take their divisions.
    playoffssss?

Reminiscint of when the chronicle used to point out the ridiculous record the Rockets had in 1997 when Barkley-Hakeem-Drexler were all in the lineup together.

I’d also say one of their finest moments was being ONE strike away from being WS champions in 2011 and finding a way to to choke it way to David Freese. That was epic

Sure an “easy” path is always desirable but I really Don’t care who we face. We have the horses to beat the ball all over the park and the pitching to keep us in it. They just got to go out and do it. Here’s to heart racing nervousness in October. I hate it but I love it

I remember when just getting to the WS was a dream and enough. Now it's a disappointment.
