Right, I was thinking of other guys and just wondering if MLB, in their infinite wisdom and desire to "try new things" this year, monkeyed around with the regs.
Would be funny if they did and the losing streak continued into the 1st round and they get eliminated.
Big win to keep that Post Season hope alive. Bats looked great tonight.....First home runs for Altuve and Bregman since Early in August. Hopefully this was a sign to come.....lots of smiles in that dugout, looked like they were having their swagger again.....
The way I see it, we've been here supporting this team when they were winning 5 games all year at the start of the 2010s decade. Why wish them to not make the playoffs or feel bad about not deserving it. They're 20-8 at home which stacks up with the best. Quite frankly, they gave away at least 10 games on the road with just atrocious bullpen performances, just an average closer would have sealed wins. I welcome more baseball. Minnesota, takes us to your leader.
Astros seem to like hitting in this stadium. Bodes well for when the Astros are playing in World Series games later in October.
The Good: Altuve's best game in forever Bregman with the extra base cycle (2B, 3B, HR) Offense was firing on all cylinders Magic number down to 1 The Bad: Giving up 4 runs to the Rangers is not ideal, but thankfully our bats came to PLAY! Javier could do better on first pitch strikes, and strike % overall. I think he's destined for the pen No Angels game today, so we have to wait until at least tomorrow to officially clinch The Ugly: Nothing ugly about this!
In the broadcast I listened to, they said Dan Rather used to announce at the Colt 45 games. Really? http://www.projectballpark.org/history/nl/colt.html This says so as well. Never knew that.
4 players with 3 hits. FOUR! I do miss the days when 2 guys would do this almost every night. Poor Yuli.
