Game is 2 1/2 hours old, only 8 runs total, yet hasn't reached the 7th. I'm not necessarily complaining.
Tell Verlander not to go 4 innings. The Andrus 2B wasn't a bad pitch, the Gallo one was. Pretty much a textbook Framber outing: good stuff mixed with wildness.
Ugh, called safe. Still a nice catch by Altuve and great effort on the throw. Anyway, I always feared that all the baserunners allowed by Valdez would eventually catch up to him, and it looks like that's happening.
Verlander going only 4 innings is more of an anomaly than hinch not making better decisions with pitchers.
He wasn’t bad. Will certainly be a weapon against lefties this season. The Rangers have professional hitters... and early on in the season, before injury/fatigue sets in, guys like Choo, Andrus, and Mazara would be top 5-6 hitters in most lineups.
After JV's outing they were going to use Framber 'cause that's why he's on the roster: the guy that can go multiple innings. Josh James can't be that guy every time.
I only meant he wasn't able to do what was needed today. Later on in the season or a different situation, who knows?
Bregman has found a way to turn around his game after a bad start. Sure wish Altuve would follow suit.
