Situational hitting has been absolutely pathetic. Also, Hinch had opportunity to PH for one of the worst hitters in the league with the game on the line and chose not to.

Isn't that what Castro is? Stud in the field with no bat?

Like i said before, Springer for his third year in a row has a very low average with RISP.

If i am a pitcher, i would never allowed Altuve to hit with RISP if Springer is hitting behind him.
Altuve hits .280 with RISP (career) so Jose, you will get hit by the pitcher a lot as they are going to pitch to Mr. Springer.

Castro has a bat. Hes constantly swinging it at thin air. Perhaps he means we get someone who doesnt own a bat. Would've walked there

I feel like there's "potential" based on what he's shown 4 or 5 seasons ago or whenever that was. And he hits like he thinks he might be a good hitter..

whereas someone who knows they have no bat would be happy to take walks, move guys over, bunt, etc. And non-K, non-DP AB's are better than what we're getting right now.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I would hope someone like Q could do that
