Shouldn't we just call him "Carloco" The guy is absolutely out of his mind, but it is freaking awesome.
Why is he the only player with a nickname, I think we should call Peston Tucker, Tuckman. Just use his real name.
If we sweep 'em, it might put an end to their divisional hopes - but adding a single game the first week of August isn't much of a death knell.
true. I hope sweeping them puts even more pressure on Hamels to be perfect every time out. So that he gets beat up every time out.
Yes it is. I'm very much torn on the issue too, because I hate it when fans call a player by the wrong name or nickname...but I also really, REALLY hate the nickname GoGo. So reading CarGo instead doesn't bother me.
Ron Gardenhire referred to Carlos Gomez as "Loose Cannon I" in Minnesota. The Twins wound up getting the Casilla run on Justin Morneau's groundout, but it was another example why Gardenhire refers to his inexperienced Dominicans at the top of the order as Loose Cannon I (Gomez) and Loose Cannon II (Alexi Casilla). "Actually, Lexi's been pretty good since he's been back here,'' Gardenhire said. "But Carlos -- I've never had so many headaches during ballgames.''
Agreed. I hate, hate, hate stupid nicknames, but Cargo isn't that bad. It's also Men at Work's 2nd best album, so there's that.
Looking forward to seeing McCullers build off of that spectacular performance last week. Go Stros! Need to separate from the pack even further!
We used to have a player named "Toy Cannon" playing for us....only us old timers will know who this is..lol
It is a nickname for both, which has always been annoying. Also a nickname for Gomez, presumably to avoid confusion with the other CarGo.
I think even the younger fans would know of Jimmy Wynn . Seems like the Stros promote him every year through a bobblehead or statute night giveaway.
Calm your t***. It's easy to type and it's convenient. It's a cool nickname. Let fans use it if they want. Damn. Are you the CarGo police or something?
