The only thing we can't blame on Garner is the fact that our bullpen is crap. It's getting annoying watching the end of the games.

As i am saying this Wheeler gives up another HR. Amazing.

5 or our 7 relievers have ERA's over 6. Miller's is over 7 and Randolph is over 12 (though he hasn't been here long)

Borkowski and Qualls are setting the pace with ERA's in the mid 4's.

I was wrong. You can blame Gar for not lifting Wheeler.

We're almost halfway through the season and Wheeler has almost matched his career high in homers surrendered. He has 8 and he gave up 9 in 2004.

That Ump robbed us of an extra base. Nice kick Pele.

Holy Crap. Way to go Biggio! Hopefully it's the game winner. I mean, we can't give up leads in 3 consecutive innings, can we?

That's the big problem with him right now.

In the last sequence, should Garner have the ESP to take out Wheeler with 2 outs, Kinsler at bat, and a one run lead? Granted, Wheeler has sucked ass this year, and is a major reason why the bullpen is unreliable these days... but so has every other member of the bullpen right now.

Basically, this road trip has been a series of "Garner is an idiot... how could he put in/keep ______ (insert any member of Astros bullpen here) in the game???"

    WTG Biggio.

Keep the hits coming. No lead is too safe.

way to go biggio! he needs to calm down though, i'm going to the game thursday and i want him to get 3000 then. :)

i think they play him at milwaukee on a day to day basis. if he gets 2 or more hits tomorrow he's not seeing the field again until thursday. though the way he's swinging it, do they keep him in the lineup in a critical series against milwaukee?

If they're facing any starting lefties in Milwaukee... he should be playing. If he's not playing in that situation, they're strictly doing it to ensure 3000 will be at home.

I don't know if that cheapens it, but it definitely isn't giving the team the best chance to win games (against the divison leaders, no less)... and I'm not sure how it sits with me (trust me, I know how important it would be for Biggio to get the hit in front of the home fans).

Bad play by Hunter there... I know he means well, and has all the energy to go after everything... but that was Scott's play.

well if he sits any game besides the afternoon game on wednesday it would be completely against how garner has used him thus far and obviously it would be for the milestone at home.

it'd be pretty weird to play him to somewhat the detriment of the team for most of this season, then end up sitting him to the detriment of the team, for the exact same cause. it's a unique situation though.

Wow - the Astros bullpen is really bad......weird how quickly it has crumbled with most of the same guys.
