it's pretty messed up that garner didn't stick roy o on the allstar team to begin with, but if pedro sits out and he still doesnt add roy to the team, that is extremely messed up. unless it has something to do with roy wanting to get some rest or something.

I'm pretty sure it could be that... or maybe Garner knew that Pedro wouldn't play (like he normally doesn't), and he finds a way to add Roy without being accused of nepotism.

Seriously... Ozzie Guillen take Bueherle and Jenks over Fransisco Liriano.... that is assinine.

You never know... maybe Munson told Lidge to do that, just like Crash Davis told Nuke to "throw it at the bull... trust me". :D

Wow, DeRosa really bailed Lidge out by swinging at that pitch. He should have had the take sign.

Nice win for the Astros taking the Silver Boot!

Another nice win for the 'Stros...now let's sweep Chicago.

And Wandy is Jeriome Robertson part Duex. Whatever it takes to get a win.

The team needs to keep the bats going for Roger tomorrow, show 'em a little love.

Yes he is... I just hope that we're not setting ourselves up for another 2003, where Jeriome was called upon to beat the Brewers on the final series of the season, and not only did he lose... he got destroyed.

The problem with having all these blowouts is that it really masks how bad Wandy is pitching. He's effective in spurts, but he'll lose his control almost randomly, and his stuff isn't good enough to survive in the K zone.

I just hope that Garner keeps it that in mind... and always has Nieve ready to go when Wandy is pitching.

Chicago went off on the White Sox today. Hopefully they got it out of their system.

I would prefer to leave Nieve in the bullpen and see how he does. We need more help in our bullpen then starting pitching right now.

Anyway, it's time to bring Hirsh up. He's 9-2 with a 2.42 ERA now. He's ready.

No point of bringing him up with Backe coming back after the break. Hirsh is a having a great year and is on his way. When Backe comes back, Wandy should go the pen and send down Nieve. Wandy would give a 2nd lefty in the pen, and Bucholutz has been lights out last two starts. Wandy has a bad mound presence and has averege stuff at best.
