Bad Wandy has shown up today... falls apart after walking Hank Blalock (after he had it going pretty good for the first 4 guys).

Phil should have a quick hook tonight... things tend to get WORSE when teams see more of Wandy. Normally, he can put together 3-4 effective innings before they start hitting him a little... today, he wasn't able to get thru 2.

Nieve will relieve him from the bullpen... and he may just relieve him from the rotation, if Wandy doesn't get tons of run support in his next few starts (its the only way he seems to end up winning a lot).

Good Willy showed up today... finally DRIVES a ball, instead of fouling it back (or being late, and popping up to right field).

Wow, we have a catcher who hits the ball today. Very nice change.

Roger REALLY should spend more time with Wandy, learn from him, and apply the MAGIC that only Wandy has apparently mastered, in terms of "getting run support".

I really like Munson now, screw Ausmus, we have a new catcher.

It seems like Munson and Lamb are scoring all of our runs now.

The best of both worlds... Munson is hitting great right now in his normal role (catching Wandy), and demands are made for a new everyday catcher... but Adam Everett has a productive game, and its most likely a "fluke", cause Bruntlett would have probably done better.

nick my boy, you're in denial because you are an ausmus worshipper, and you're getting a bit sensitive because reality is just starting to set in and you, like the rest of these posters, are finally starting to see what a detriment to the team he is. i will form a support group for your kind if need be. ;)

So you want to replace Ausmus with a guy who's batting average and on-base numbers are worse than Ausmus, because he had one good game? That's brilliant!

But I forgot, you know more about the catchers than the pitchers on the team.

If Ensberg continues with his funk (which he seems to be snapping out of), you'll see more lineups of Munson at first, Lamb at third, and Berkman in the outfield.

Ausmus is still going to catch Roger, Andy, Roy, and likely Taylor again. Also, Eric Bruntlett never became the everyday shortstop... but I do have a support group for those crushed by that development, if need be.

oh, i know he is. that doesn't mean he should be. and i guess that bruntlett comment is for other people. he got extended time at ss just like i said he would at the time. NEVER did i say everett should be permanently benched.

whatever you may think of me, ya gotta admit....I'm pretty much always right!

What have you said that is actually "right"? You said Bruntlett should get more playing time, and he sucked... doesn't that make you wrong?

You're pointing out fallacies only after a player has a good game... that is not being "right"... that's using hindsight to try and support your own agenda (which is never clear-cut, and wavers whenever a player does well/struggles).

I could be a great MLB manager, if I went back and corrected all the moves that should have been made... but weren't. Come up with an agenda, stick with it, and see how it plays out.

Also, btw, your agenda failed in comparison to mine... which was to bench Willy T in favor of Burke. Unfortunately, the AL is just too good for any NL central team, and that derailed our hot streak.

well, first of all his #'s are what they are because he plays once every 5 days. are you really saying that you think ausmus is a better hitter than munson?

yes, i would rather see munson playing every day than ausmus. there are also about 29 other starters, and 29 other backups in the league that i would probably rather see starting than ausmus also. it's amazing what a difference having a catcher in the lineup who doesn't completely suck does for the team (and my stress level).

and yes, i do believe i have an unbiased, outsider's perspective, whereas roger clemens and phil garner, who have forged close personal relationships with the loser, do not. once again, do you really think that it takes bradley F*CKING ausmus to catch Roger Clemens, even if ausmus was the greatest "game-caller" in major league history???

ausmus is a joke. the sooner you understand this the smarter you will be.

You didn't respond to his post. Who's in denial again?

PS: Bruntlett got extended PT because Everett was injured.

You are always wrong, deal with it.

It does when Roger Clemens states that he will not return unless Ausmus does.

woah, woah, woah....first of all, i said bruntlett WOULD get more playing time. and he DID. that makes me right. strike 1 for nicky!

Second of all, and much much more importantly....and I cant believe i have to defend this, but PLEASE explain to me where my "agenda" wavers in ANY issue, but especially this one. I have said that ausmus sucks in almost every thread this season, and have been disgusted by him the last 4 years.

please apologize and dont make unfounded accusations.

i know it pains you to admit i'm right. i'll accept your out-of-character defensiveness as admission though.
