as much as i wanted the homer (obviously), you cant knock that catch by matthews..... that was spectacular!
best catch i've ever seen. it was the edmonds one in anaheim one prior to that...the over the head outstretched dive.
The only catch I can think of recently that was better was the Ichiro spiderman catch from last year. The way he hangs on the wall is sick. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5sbn670F1l8"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5sbn670F1l8" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Umm I wasn't watching the game till about halfway through. I don't think every decision management makes is a good one. But I will trust Clemens and Pettite's opinion over any fan who thinks they acutally have any kind of knowledge as to what kind of impact he truly has on the team and the pitching staff. As for Oswalt, I seem to remember Chavez used to be his personal catcher until they switched Ausmus back with him. I wonder why that is. Same tired old arguments. Btw nice win for the good guys!
Great to finally get a win and see our offense show a pulse. We're still in striking distance, time to get on a roll.
Great performance from Buchholz today and certainly Munson did a good job catching him. Still want Ausmus behind the plate though.
Me too! I have trouble coming in here or listening to sports radio, watching espn, etc after a Stros loss. It just really puts me in a crappy mood.
Astros pick up a game on EVERYONE in the NL Central above them... barring the exact opposite of that happening for Sundays games, this is the best we could hope for in salvaging the nightmare that is interleague play.
The Astros are lucky they are not 15 games out of first at this point. They could be in first if they hadn't sucked balls againts the AL too. I don't like the fact that three teams are ahead of them in the standings. I guess though they have overcome worse in the past.
