Wandy Rodriguez (P) Hall and Barmes are a combined 30-for-52 against Maholm.
Well, we have 3 B's in there tonight. One so far looks killer. Perhaps the other two will come around.....
just any case anyone wants to watch the game out of town... MLB.com is broadcasting this to anyone that has an account as their "free game" today http://mlb.mlb.com/mediacenter/
He should be starting. If he wasn't I would be starting a Fire Brad Mills thread. Jason Bourgeois has been unbelievable so far while Bill Hall and Chris Johnson have been some of the worst everyday players in the majors. I knew Chris Johnson was a fluke last year based on his minor league numbers and his low walk numbers and high strikeout numbers. Not a good combo. So far only 2 walks in 104 ABs. Hall is a good utility player but that is about it.
Sanchez at 3B and Michael back in lead off. Wonder why he keeps flip flopping that. Bourn has better career numbers in the 2 hole, obviously a smaller sample though.
Jason has had a few doubles lately. At 3B, they have to try something since Johnson hasnt been getting hits. I suppose Sanchez was a closer fit than Barmes.
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2011/05/free-agents-who-are-costing-their-team-money.html To no one's surprise, Bill Hall makes the list of free agents signee's who are costing their team money. What is surprising though is that his negative value (-$3mil) is the second highest on the list. I.e. he's hurting his team the 2nd most regardless of "value".
Awful player. I know we had a hole to fill, but we were already one of worst teams in plate discipline. Did we really need another guy who strikes out and doesn't walk? Keppinger can't get back fast enough.
