I hope Jason Hirsch didn't kill any major deals for the Astros. He maxes out as a 4th starter.

If you are in Houston, go to 740 AM or I think you can go to their website and listen streaming.

Shawn Chacon is complete and utter garbage, and we're making him look like a Cy Young winner. I honestly can't believe this.

The offense better pick this up. The Pads are doing their part. At some point the Astros better get to Chacon.

There on a 7 game win-streak while the Cards have lost 7 straight..whatever happens with this game or the season, I'll still consider the Cards as having choked in the clutch; even if they do make the playoffs they're screwed.

This game, you're kind of playing Russian Roullette when anybody but Oswalt, Clemens and Pettite are pitching at this point. Hirsch was on a good litte roll for awhile there, but the past two games he's been bad. As for the bats, well yeah they do need to get it going, but there's still half a game remaining so we'll see.

The Astros aren't choking. They are the worst hitting team in the league and they are coming back down to earth. It doesn't mean they are doomed, but it's not as if Chacon has been shutting doen the '27 Yankees.

I'll say it again... this is the most embarassing game I've seen all season. And it's happened to us with everything on the line. Ugh.

It's a 3-1 game in the 5th...there's been a lot worse than that this season...how bout that sweep by the Phillies the other week. As it is, it was a stretch to expect them or anybody to win out...and I still think they can afford to lose just one and still have a shot.
