At least Carpenter is at 94 pitches. Maybe they can get a turn at that awesome Card bullpen.

On the bright side, Carpenter can't pitch every game for them. Us winning tonight (hopefully) would still keep a ton of pressure on the Cards.

Let Nieve end the game the old-fashioned way... no more bullpen needed tonight.

    DD,

they can still split the brewers series and have the one game make vs. giants if the cards win tom as long as stros win out

Not over but, clearly the Pads need to grind hard on Crapnturd! STL doesnt want to use their bullpen short of a jailbreak by the Pads offense. :D

We have to get within 1/2 a game or they won't make it up as I understand it.....

And the Brewers have both Capuano and Sheets starting in that series, not to mention that the Pads have Chris Young going tomorrow. Cards are going to see some tough pitching.

I really have no faith in the Giants putting any form of competition in that game. I think we'll need the Cards to lose 3 to have a chance. Why the hell do the Cards not have to find a way fit that game in their schedule , while we have to play Phils after not getting into Philadelphia to 4 in the morning?

Right. That's why he said if the Cards split with the Brewers. Even if the Cards win tomorow, if we win out and the Cards/Brewers split, we're within 1/2 a game.

Cards are so lucky. They have runners on third and second with 1 out now, but it should be third and second with a run already in and nobody out. Klesko led off the inning by crushing a pitch... only to have Pujols make a Gold Glove quality leaping catch to rob him.

He hit it hard, but Pujols made the play look better than it was, he really didn't have to jump all that much.

How do you split a 3 game series?

Bases loaded only ONE out......NOW is the time........108 pitches for Carpenter, he is laboring.
