Brown hasn't shown any deterioration, in fact, he's gotten stronger by throwing those 99's vs Boston. The 6-man is gravy for him.

 

I wonder if he got off to his 455 foot blast last night.

We started losing steam when we started unnecessarily messing around with weaker line-ups. Losing record in the last week.

Unnecessarily missing around? Yeah the lineups have made us all cringe but that'll happen when Bregman is out then Alverez is out with injuries. The messing around I see is Espada trying to get his two catchers in the lineup at the same time in an attempt to not have a weaker line up and that has impacts all over the field.

 

No, his velocity has been fine. His average FB velocity for the year is 93.4 mph. Last three starts have been 93.5, 93.2 and 93.6. Secondary pitches all follow the same trend.

Have you actually gone and looked at the numbers? I just looked…it has been pretty consistent all year. There were two starts in July it was below 93 but he was good in both of them.
