Truthfully, I was rooting for the Stros all along despite Roy being one of my favorite players.

Hell no. Love seeing the Astros playing spoiler. First series in like 6 that the Philies aren't going to win. :) And only their 7th loss or something in 30 games if I heard the radio right earlier today.

Plus i love seeing fans silenced....or in this games case....cheers turned to boo's...LOL.

    jesus...

Roy Oswalt became the first Philadelphia Phillies pitcher to play a position in the field in 39 years after Ryan Howard was ejected in the 14th inning on Tuesday night.

    crazy damn game.

I'm guessing the Philly boards are going crazy at the umps right about now.

That was the most epic inconsequential (for the Astros at least) game I've ever watched in my life.

Adding to Philly pains, their bullepn got taxed in the loss and they may lose Howard for at least a game.

Sure, Howard has been lousy in this series but they obviously want him to play.

I have watched a lot of Baseball and tonites Astros win over The Phillys was one of the most Weird, Exciting, and Entertaining Game of the whole season. Roy o as A left fielder?? What??? This will be the best MLB series to watch all year. I have alot of respect for Philly though the played a good game.

Holy... A horn (platinum sombrero) for Ryan Howard. Absolutely no one would think that the first time Roy O would come on the field against us, he wouldn't be pitching.

I Hear ya, but with the stros so far out of it, I would have rather seen that all time drama associated with Roy poking it out of the yard.

Don't look now, but the Astros are currently enjoying their highest winning percentage of the season. (.448 :( )

Also, for the first time this season their season-long pace has them losing fewer than 90 games! They are on pace to finish 73-89. :(

And finally, they are four games over .500 since June 1st. What a refreshing stretch of mediocrity, compared to the previous sucktitude!

One more thing -- if the Astros manage to keep up the .527 clip they've had since June 1st, they will finish 76-86 or 75-87.

SOOOOO much better than the way things were looking in mid-May. 13 games is a lot more than it sounds like.

Not only that, they have the second best record in the division since the all star break and 5th in the NL.

considering they traded away the 2 players we would have said were the best players on the team before the season started, i'd say that's pretty remarkable.

most important in my view...they're fun to watch.

Couldn't agree more. This team right now for me, has the same vibe the Rockets had last year. There is an energy the young guys are bringing that has made this team exciting.
