I agree completely. I'm not one of those that tried to label CJ a future all star, nor am I the one whose saying "This is the real CJ we're seeing now." Truth is he's not as good as he was during his hot streak, nor is he as bad as he is now. If he can hit .265-.280 with around 20 home runs for the next year or so at 3rd I'll be happy. Like Wallace though he'll have to work on his BB/K ratio.

How about our young arms out of the bullpen tonight? Norris/Lopez (getting us out of the jam in the 8th)/Abad/Melancon all pitching extremely well.

Obviously, that would be the best outcome.

Just saying that it's too early to read into the numbers.

Looked like he was safe at first, but oh well.

Now if Fulchino throws two scoreless innings here, this will truly be the craziest game of the season for us.

Never mind, letting Melancon go a 3rd...can't complain.

    lol

Probably not the night to knock Manzella. He's easily had the best game of his career.

2 highlight reel defensive plays. A big extra inning hit followed by some hustle on the basepaths to beat a throw to 2nd.

He also seems to have better balance at the plate since coming back. I noticed that as an issue with him early this season. Apparently, Bagwell has worked with him on that from what I've heard.

I know he was terrible early this season and he may still end up being terrible. I've been one of the many doubting him but tonight, he's been great... even if it's just one game.

whatever...remove everything i wrote after the comma. or remove "bum".
move the runner over and play for 1 hit to score a run. it's the 14th inning and you have barely threatened the entire game.

Thankfully that didn't get past Pence. He made it look easy but it wasn't.

If Howard goes 0-7 tonight the Phillies fans will lose it.

    Wow!

Howard's gone nuts. 3B ump mocked him after Howard showed displeasure with an earlier called swing in the AB.

    Haha, see ya Howard!

Quick ejection, but I hope he gets suspended for that tirade.

The funny thing is that the Phillies' 1st run never should've crossed the plate.

The HP ump squeezed Norris big time during an AB in that inning that would've been the 3rd out.

I think you can make a good case that our pitchers were getting squeezed noticeably worse than Philly pitchers tonight, regardless of whether it was intentional or not.
