Abad gave up back-to-back jacks last time out.

HP plate ump seems to be squeezing us and giving Philly pitchers the same calls.

Wonder if the Bourn play from yesterday is on their minds... probably not.

Abad was great in that inning. He'll probably pitch at least another.

JD says... “Sanchez is not paritcularly speedy.”

    Ya think?

Just JD's way of saying how he didn't approve of the play, but trying to be as nice as possible when saying it.

Goodness... Tommy with another huge play!

Yea, I know that... the "Ya think?" part was more just me adding to my ongoing expressions of frustration with Sanchez' lack of speed.

I like the kid. I really do. It's somewhat less of an issue when he's at 2nd.

    Speaking of Sanchez, Footer tweet:

If someone can tell me why on God’s green earth someone w/ Sanchez’s blazing speed could think bunting for a hit is a good idea, speak up.

Ha, I knew what you meant. Yeah that was a bit of a head scratcher.

Ugh, just don't have any confidence what so ever when Castro steps up to the plate. Come on Hernandez...need a big hit here.

    Safe at 2nd!

Manzella having quite the overall game.

I feel like we need to score here. Top of the Phillies order due up.

Boy he sure is. Two huge plays in the field and beating out a key play at second. Too bad Bourn couldn't do anything there.

Well I'm guessing Melancon will be coming out now. I have a bad feeling that a walk off home run is coming up.

    I'm with you, unfortunately.

I was wrong yesterday though so let's make it 2-for-2.

I expected Manzella to make a diving catch or something.

    Unlucky.

All I heard about Wallace when he came in that trade was how his defense was an issue. Sure, he plays first base but he's still held his own besides the dropped pop fly against Florida.

A very solid job by our young arms in the pen. Even though Lopez gave up the home run, he still got us out of the 8th inning jam.

Ugh, thought Hunter had himself a HR, at worst a double...

And it was wet and humid that day. A lot of our guys were making mistakes in that game.

I agree, he's looked solid defensively.

If only he could get the "Not striking out" thing down. He's young though I'm sure he'll turn into a solid first baseman, or hope so anyways.

Yeah, I sure hope he works out. His defense has been amazing just would like to see him at least hit in the .260 range with his patience at the plate.

Goodness I wonder what we would have done if he couldn't catch. I guess throw Tommy out there or Sanchez like JD.

Way too early to worry about Castro's offensive numbers, imo.

Not saying he'll end up being a good hitter but he just might. Let's see where he's at after about 1000 PA.

Same goes for a guy who has hit well like CJ.

At least Castro has a respectable BB-SO ratio at 15-33.

Here are the numbers for some other guys:

    CJ: 10-50
    BW: 3-24
    Onhell: 6-30

Let's see where all these guys are at in a year or two once the stats start to stabilize.

For all we know, Castro or Wallace will end up being a better overall hitter than CJ.

Remember that Castro is the youngest guy out there and is playing the most physically demanding position. He also doesn't have the prototypical body type of a catcher. I think Bennett said that he lost 20 lbs by the end of last season. It may take him a year or two to build endurance. He's probably really fatigued right now even though he's not playing every day.

Let's hope that all three end up being good.
