I don't know why Sanchez is batting in the second spot.

Yup, I was just highlighting it to give more props to Q for his defense.

That should've been no more than a double to a slow player like Ibanez.

Bourn works hard to cut it off but muffs it then Sanchez drops the throw.

Landlord wants to have Wilton Lopez' babies.

Hard to blame him. Lopez comes through yet again.

Anyone with more than zero stolen bases, zero home runs, and six bases on balls.

You didn't answer my question. Who would you rather have though? State a name. CJ? No, gotta have at least one good run producer. Pence? We tried that, and again have to have a run producer. Q? Good lord no. Michaels? He has power, better to have him in the 6th-7th spot. Tommy? Tonight I would have said yes just because we're facing a lefty. However Sanchez is hitting around .270, more than we can say for half of our players.

In a perfect world, Kepp would be hitting second. Just hasn't worked out that way plus his injury...

Sanchez isn't an ideal 2-hole hitter but we don't have many options, esp. with Kepp out.

Kepp really isn't an ideal 2-hole either.

This is the description of the prototypical 2-hole hitter from Wiki:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batting_order_(baseball)

    To summarize:

    -lefty
    -good bunter
    -good speed, baserunning skills
    -avoids GIDPs (speed helps)

The point is that that shouldn't have been a 2B given Ibanez' lack of speed.

No, I don't think Sanchez could have gotten him, particularly with his lack of arm. He had trouble throwing to first on routine plays when he was at SS.

Sanchez DOES NOT make that play.

    Great play by Manzella.

Ibanez was half way to 3rd base when Sanchez dropped the ball. Id rather have Tommy be the cut-off man on that play thought.

Agreed... again, my main point was that it shouldn't have been a double. Blame Bourn then.
