Lee got Pence off the hook there. You just knew that Ruiz was telling Madson to stay out of the zone on that 2-2 pitch. He goes way, way high and Pence swings.
I can't help but see a skinny Benji Molina based on your description of his speed. I would assume he is at least faster than Carlos Lee.
If so, only marginally... seriously. At least, from what I can tell. Sanchez is really slow and Lee is probably a little faster than people realize when he puts in the effort. He's more lazy than slow, given his body type.
I feel like we'll need at least 1 more run to win. Last time I said that, I was right. Hope my wild guess is wrong this time. Edit: J-Mike strikes out after a 3-0 count so a 1 run lead will have to be enough to win or send it to extras.
He's worked around it well so far. That bunt pop out was a big help. RISP now with 2 outs. Thought Q might get him.
My heart skipped a beat (as if we were in a pennant race). Thought that might drop. Michaels makes the grab for the final out. Might have fallen in front of Lee. Astros win! 1 run lead held up. Sanchez off the hook for getting thrown out at home in the 1st. Pence off the hook for his poor AB in the 8th.
Rich Harden was removed from the game after he no-hit the Twinkies thru 6 2/3, threw 111 pitches. Announcers are jinxing the game thought, worst announcing team in baseball
Norris threw strike 3 twice to Werth according to MLB's pitch tracker but the ump didn't give him either call. Would've been end of the 6th and a 2-0 lead. Now it's 2-1 with men on the corners.
Was a bit confused with the call to steal third there, but I guess with the way Utley has been struggling they were playing for at least a sac fly. Q may make me sick at the plate, but it sure is nice to have him behind it.
