Best pitcher in baseball disagrees....they don't call him the Doc for no reason

They call him 'Doc' due to his last name sounding the same as 'Doc Holliday'.

I've been in Pittsburgh this past week so I've missed my beloved Stros but listened to last nights marathon. GREAT game and almost surreal to see Roy in LF and batting in the 16th. Nice to see the gang bounce back after a rough 1st two games in Florida.

Side note - Went to see Wainwright last night vs the Buccos. REALLY bad loss for the Cards and could be a game they look back and point to as their turning point for the negative.

I think it's hilarious that we trady Roy O to Philly for them to make a push for the playoffs. Then, we go into Philly and stick it to them. These are games they need and should win...but this very well could doom their season if they let it.

We weren't supposed to win the last two games either. Don't be such a Debbie Downer!!! ;)

The Ryan ejection was borderline but I didn't watch the whole game, they said the ump was calling all the check swings strikes so the players should know better...not like Ryan has been lighting up the pitching this series

I had the Astros winning the first two games because Brett Myers wanted to stick it to his former team and Hamels doesn't get run support, but Halladay got knocked around a little by the Nationals (even thought he won) and only went 7 innings, the chances of that happening in consecutive starts aren't great :(. But maybe he's due for a loss since he's won 6 straight starts, who knows? Hope he's due for a loss but its gonna be tough

And I thought Halladay was called the Doc because he stopped losing streaks and saved the bullpen everytime he started. I guess not

Looking at the rest of the league today, it seems to be a day for building a lead, then losing it.

    Detroit - Kansas City
Detroit up 3-0 till the 7th. Lost in the 12th 4-3.

    Atlanta - Colorado
Atlanta up 10-1 after 3. Then lost 12-10.

    Cincinnati - S.F.
Cincinnati up 9-1 after 4. Now tied 11-11 in the ninth.

I didn't think he swung, but it was close. I thought the ejection was BS though, not that I'm complaining. Between this and the safe call on Bourne the previous game, Philly fans must be fuming.

Lopez looks a little shaky as of the past two nights. Happ scares the crap out of me too.
