Roy and Myers were both getting squeezed. Fine.

But Ausmus got called out on the call (fastball outside corner) that was a ball for Myers and Oswalt every time...which is why he was pissed..

Yeah, I'm sure Garner's delayed reaction was to make sure Roy didn't get kicked and lose his chance for W #100. Nice move by Gar..

Never said they did it to their own players. I was just remembering the time period (1989). I just don't remember anybody doing that crap although I'm sure it went on.

Lidge sure is letting those balls fly to the warning track.

I'm speechless. Lidge must be using Vaseline 'cause nobody can hold on to the ball.

and damn, AE gets the error. most shortstops wouldn't even be in position to field it, much less get a throw off on the run that might nab the guy. Error cause of Berkman's drop? BS

Poor Everett got an error charged on that. Nice recognition by Carlos Lee to save a run -- if we pull this one out, Roy owes him a dinner.

That last pitch for a K looked like old Lidge though. Filthy.

Anyone think Lidge might make a pretty good reliever? He's just lost that closing feeling. Oh yes...he has. :)

Man I wish Astro fans were like these fans. I try to get rowdy and chant but if it's not the playoffs people tell me to sit down and shut up. This results in conflict.

that sucks. when the plays are important it sucks that people will still tell you to be quiet.. it's never happened to me, but I don't doubt it. Heard so many stories

btw, I know Harry Kalas (sp?) is generally known as a great announcer. But the Phillies whole team of announcers is pretty solid all around I think.

Nice job catching them sleeping Burke!

Thats being a baserunner, something Willy never seemed to figure out despite his speed.
