    This is very possible...

    Astros play the Pirates (4 game losing streak) and the Braves (3 game losing streak).

    Cards play the Padres (4 game winning streak) and the Brewers (5 game winning streak).

    It would be at Minute Maid Park, but........I sure as hell wouldn't want to see Carpenter.......just as the Cards want no part of Roy Oswalt, their nemesis.

    only if the phils win the wildcard, otherwise we play the division winner of the west, dodgers or pads....

    Not exactly, if the WC winner were to come out of the NL west, then the Astros would play the NL west division winner.

    This is some of the best reading I've seen in a while. One of my favorites is a thread titled "The guy that is playing a big part in Houston's comeback". The guy they think answers that question is ... Preston Wilson because "he is playing here and not for them"! :D

    I definitely am, especially considering that Drayton will give you your money back if the Astros don't make it. All you lose is the Ticketmaster surcharge and I'm willing to bet that on a team I declared dead 10 games ago.

    Come on Stros. Make Jackfruit eat crow baked into humble pie :)

    Boy, if we could just get in, I believe we could do damage. The Pads lineup would struggle agiainst the big 3 in 4 of 5 games. And the Mets are a bad team - don't let the record fool you, the lineup is damn good, but our pitching can match them, and their pitching is as bad as the Cardinals, but with no Carpenter. Pedro is nowhere near healthy or effective, Glavine has been bad as well. After that, it's Trachsel and John Maine or El Duque. The Mets are beatable, big time.
