Why is the "Everything Mario Williams" thread more about Reggie Bush than Mario Williams? Well, I know why. Let's get back on topic people
Posts like this make me wonder if you read the post following the one you quoted, which clarified the original.
Unless I misunderstood, you clarified that you thought Carroll was an idiot for not using Bush as a decoy. And what I was explaining is LenDale hand't been stopped at all in the middle and the extra blocker/power set had been SC's most unstoppable formation. They put Bush in and there is less protection from a blitzing LB or Huff from another the corner because a lacking TE on each side. Carroll made the call that makes it 80% of the time, it was just one of the 20% where someone on Texas's dline actually won their matchup. Hadn't happened all second half on between the tackles plays including a previous 4th down LenDale busted for a TD.
His only mistake was tossing it to an unathletic white guy who couldn't handle it. Otherwise it was a heads up play.
I found it! It is the first run in this video, WOW : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYikW3YzXPY Can anyone make me an Eric Metcalf video that looks anything like this one? lol
Lets see in this thread we have established #1)that you infatuated with Bush and no matter how average he turns out to be you will always love and defend him. #3 Even if Mario Williams makes the Pro Bowl you will be here declaring you're love for Bush. #3) you are a racist. God I hate bye weeks! Mario please for the sake of all real Texans fans, bury Bledso tommorow.

What the hell are you even talking about? Why are you even mentioning VY? Rhino17 said the Bush lateral could have been the greatest play of all time, but as we all know, the lateral failed, thus it was not. There's no "almost" or "could have been" in college football. THE END. Please, do us all a favor and start spending all your online time here with the rest of your fellow "objective" Bush fans. KTHXBYE.
wow, now i'm a racist? Why can't I like the Texans, Mario Williams and Reggie Bush? Are you guys so narrow minded that, that isn't possible? Plus i'm white, so nice try tryting to turn me into a racist. This proves the Bush haters are not sane. Guess what, in 94 95, I was a huge rockets fan, but I still loved Michael Jordan and wanted him to come back. Should I be crucified?
Simple. You took a cheap shot at my boy Bush for his lateral, and I took a cheap shot right back at you towards your loverboy VY. I'm the bad guy right?
I hope he does too. I hate Dallas and the Cowboys. Go Texans. I also hope Reggie does well and that the saints somehow beat the eagles (not likely). Am I wrong for that? I don't think so.
What cheap shot did I take? The question at hand: Did Bush make that lateral or not? Answer: He did not. Thus, his lateral was not the greatest play in college football. This is a fact, not an insult. How is there any wiggle room here for argument? How is this even biased?
so how do yall rate mario today? I think he was about a C+. he showed up some and gave some decent pressure, but he certainly didn't seem consistent.
Wrong on both accounts. See below. I watched most all of the Texans and Saints games. Some of the Titans game. Here are observations. Saw a lot of talent in Mario. Him catching Jones from the opposite side was impressive. Mario needs a lot of help in that Dline around him. The Texans really need some impactfull DTs. The Saints won (hoorey I hate the Iggles), but Bush was relative a non-factor. Deuce is a much more effective running the ball for one simple reason, he breaks tackles. Bush was effective early on swing passes, and showed fine hands in catching and moving seemlessly in one motion. Bush's progress does tend to be stopped at 1st hit though, he really is a complimentary guy, though a very effective if used right. Got to love NO's weapons, in Deuce, Horn, Bush, Colston, Campbell (in that order) around Brees (good distributer), they have explosiveness and toughness. VY handled himself well. Good decisions all game long. At the end Tenn just ran he ball because it was working and VY may have lacked mobility (turned ankle), but he stuck it out. Big victory for him and Tenn against a quality defense. He is also looking more and more comfortable, with a bye and two weeks for him to think about playing Houston, this isn't good for the Texans' honestly. Overall I don't think anyone can say with firmness that there is seperation among the top picks. All have shown potential and falshes, none have shown themselves as sure things or dominant NFLers. Still I have seen nothing to change my mind that I would have taken anyone but Vince at #1, if he becomes that quality, playmaking, QB, which I think he has a great chance to be, those guys are just too special.
