    It truly is amazing how much it sticks out when AE isn't on the field. These are balls that most SS don't get to, but AE makes them look routine. You forget just how good he is until he doesn't play. If anyone on this team should be playing 162 games, it's AE.

    I could not agree more. It's not as if Loretta was out there making errors, even. But the difference is huge and lead to a very costly inning and a very different game, otherwise.

    You never know how these things play out, but can you imagine Scott, Ryan, Richard, Knepper, Deshaises in '86?
