21 minutes of Yu Darvish getting shelled in the 2017 World Series. It is nice remembering good things, but even I got tired after a couple minutes of this carnage.
Series could very well be a 1-2 loss. So.... 2-1 -- offsets the OAK series 3-0 -- offsets OAK and makes CIN more acceptable 1-2 -- is acceptable 0-3 -- another 2 steps backwards
https://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/te...1/darvish-loses-perfect-game-in-9th-vs-astros Darvish just missed the 24th perfect game in major league history, getting within an out of perfection before Houston Astros shortstop Marwin Gonzalez lined a single through the Ranger pitcher's legs into center field. Darvish was pulled after facing his 27th batter, and reliever Michael Kirkman ended up getting the final out as the Rangers settled for a one-hitter and a 7-0 victory before 22,673 fans at Minute Maid Park. It's the 11th perfect game spoiled by the 27th hitter in major league history. It would have been the sixth no-hitter in Rangers' history and the second perfect game. Too bad, so sad.
Hated that game. Hated the Ranger fan that was a friend of a friend that end up going with our group. I didn't know he was a Ranger fan before that game, but I'm glad a couple years before that game that I told a female friend of mine that she could do better than him.
Understandable... Astros have pummeled him his last handful of starts -- ERA is ~7.00 without included Game 7. OTOH, King and Cease have dominated us, but they are having worse seasons since it happened.
For the games in Cincinnati I used a combination of Game time and TickPix. Sometimes one had better and cheaper seats than the other. I forgot about discount codes but those exist for these sights sometimes as well.
Thats a 6:40 local start time. 30 minutes earlier than most west coast games used to start. Wednesday has a 5:40 start time in Houston.
