A moonshot for Mr. Lowrie!

 

He has so much natural ability, but for whatever reason he refuses to fine-tune his game. Watch his head when he swings, it flies up and out, making it impossible to watch the ball to the bat.

The kid is just incredible.

 

That's some skills right there. Altuve is just a joy to watch (except sometimes on the basepaths).

Speaking of skills, Derek Norris is a hell of a catcher: quiet receiver, soft hands, great arm. Wasn't he with Oakland last year?

That's a tough inning for McHugh, sometimes that's the way the ball bounces.

Although, if Myers hadn't missed that hanging changeup/meatball, McHugh would have saved a few pitches with the same result.

 

Dangit, wish he would've thrown a better pitch to Shields.

 

Bad luck. He also dicked around a little with Shields and was forced to groove one in the 3-2.

 

So Lowrie... That was a decent signing. By the year's end, that could look like the steal of the off season.

 

Lowrie seems to square up the ball every time he puts one in play.

 

Could we bench Rasmus?

 

He's getting up there into Billy Spiers territory for me.
