Good for LJ. I think he and Jon Singleton could still be very good MLB players. A lot of young guys struggle when getting to the show, but when they get sent down they work on the specifics they struggled with while in the big leagues and come back with a vengeance. We'll see if LJ responds positively or negatively. I hope he makes a big splash early on, and doesn't get sent down again after we play this National League team. Btw, LJ is hitting .418 in AAA.
My bad! Keep confusing when Keuchel and McHugh pitch this series. Just lovely to have two aces on the team!
If a bullpen is going to be giving up the game deciding run in the top of the 9th, it will be the Padres' bullpen.
The deck seems more stacked against LJ this time around. Rasmus, Marisnek and Springer seem to have a lock on the outfield spots, with Grossman and Gattis sneaking in starts every now and then. Would be better for LJ if he could be more of a utility guy, a la Marwin.
Pumped to be going to all 3 games!! And it's just a reminder to say F U to Bud Selig for me only getting to do this once every 6 years now
Not sure if I'm more jealous that you get to see all the games in person, or that you're in SD in the first place. Tell La Jolla "hello" for me.
I'm trying to think of the last nastiest curve I've seen. Any thoughts? Roy's was good, but not this good. Kershaw? Blyleven? Gooden?
