Freak Pujols has now hit 30 HRs in 78 games and has walked almost twice as much as he's struck out. He also fields his position as well as anybody out there. He's got it all.

yeah, he's the best player of all time. i mentioned in the "rumored steroid list" thread that his name not being on there (if it's true) would be the most significant part of it, IMO. if he's done all this roid-free, i dont see how anybody could argue that he's not the best player ever.

    Agreed.

The only thing I'll say is this era of juicing makes me at least wonder about Pujols. Dude looked like a linebacker when he was 20 and was already losing his hair. I'm not saying those can't be attributes of non-users... just sayin...

Until proven otherwise, he's just crazy good.

Albert Pujols is in a league of his own. Glad he's on my fantasy team! :D

Boy did he ever. That's vintage berkman. His batting average is slowly creeping up.
I really hope the astros can continue to play well..take my mind off Yao and the rockets.

Good to see Coop batting Berkman 3rd the last couple of games. There hasn't been justification for hitting him 5th in a couple of weeks.

Good job boys, 3 runs should be enough to win this game with the way the padres swing the bat.

the thing is, can't we safely assume it a fact that he is not juicing today? and at least the past couple years at minimum?

i guess you can argue that if he did them in the past, they changed the makeup of his body, but he has put up pretty much equally impressive and ridiculous numbers every year he's been in the majors.

i hate the cards, although not too much nowadays since the edmonds, and rolens, and ecksteins, and vinas are gone, but i just can't stop being a huge pujols fan. the ball rockets off his bat unlike anybody ever. a fully roided mcgwire included.

They don't test for HGH, right?

All I was getting at in the last post was that he has a lot of the attributes of a user, physically. It doesn't mean he did anything and he hasn't ever been proven to be a user. I was just saying that it's certainly crossed my mind more than once give this era and the way he looks.

I brought up Pujols. My bad. It's over.

Blum looked like he had a reasonable chance to get Gonzalez if he could've controlled that ball.

Good job by Mikey to limit the damage.

That was just lazy by Blum. Yes, it was a short hop, but he didn't look ready for the play. Maybe he didn't expect Gonzalez to go. Should have been an out.
