check on the reds game on the mlb ticket free preview (ch. 713 comcast). johnny cueto, the reds pitcher who was a popular pick going into the season for ROY, i currently PERFECT through 5 in his MLB debut. this kid looks sick. wish he was in another division.
I think it over-dramatizes the notion that they had a season to be turned around in the first place. Anyway...just my perception of it...probably not important enough for me to devote 3 posts to it.
My girlfriend re: Jose Cruz, Jr.: "He doesn't look real". Certainly an odd looking fellow. He could look like heypartner for all I care, as long as he keeps up that discipline at the plate.
I would love to know how many come-from-behind in the 9th inning wins we had last year. Couldn't been more than a handful. People who are used to "typical" Astros games of low scoring and no action better get used to this.....alot of 9-6, 10-8 and 12-10 AL style games are coming. And yes, with our pitching we'll lose our fair share of those too.
I didn't watch the game, but does he look different from this picture (besides the hat)? If not, what's odd about his look ?
There were 6 games last year when the Astros were tied or losing in the 9th and scored in the 9th to either win the game or send it to extra innings where they eventually won the game.
Phase one of the Chacon experience is not so good. If the ump had not missed that Iguchi HBP it would be 3-0.
Its just a matter of time before the bats get those two runs back and then some. No way Randy "Freaking" Wolf shuts the stros down.
