that "41" backe scratched into the mound next to woody williams' number is hilarious and awesome at the same time

Yeah, I noticed that. I hope Backe crosses out Woody's 17.

Or maybe he can draw a heart around it with and arrow. :D

Defense isn't Willy's strong suit. That's what I fear in the future if Luke Scott and Willy Taveras are two of our outfielders.

Willy is NOT a good CF... he's average at best.

I'm kinda dissapointed with Garner's random lineup shuffling tonight. Nothing he does has any real consistency or reasoning when it comes to making the lineups.

Wilson struggles, so he sits... but then he's right back in there after one game.

Burke struggles, so he sits... Willy comes in and plays better than before (but still not all that great)... but Burke doesn't get a job back.

Scott and Ensberg get everyday status right away as they respectively come back from the minors... while Huff (who is still a more accomplished hitter than 7/8ths of our lineup) gets days off when we're trying to start winning streaks.

I figured with Berkman out, we'd try to go with our best possible lineup for each and every game... not still trying to mix-and-match, and keep some guys fresh, and tinker a little with other guys' confidence, etc. etc. etc.

What's not to like about a hitting streak? As long as we aren't playing the Phillies, way to go, Utley.
