He thought about sliding, diving never entered the equation.

“I saw the ball, and I know this is a big ballgame,” Dubón said. “It kept going, and kept running. There was a point I felt if I would have slid, I wouldn’t have been able to catch it. I have to keep going, and as soon as I caught it, I tried to brace myself a little bit. I was running full speed. I’ve seen guys hit their shoulders and everything. I got kind of scared and locked up a little bit. The results [from the doctors] were fine and everything. Just stiff, that’s all.”

It goes to show, most dives in baseball are not necessary -- just go "all out" and keep your feet.

He goes back to the 8th inning. Defacto so guy. Unless you can personally convince Joe otherwise.

    Hader
    Pressly
    Abreu
    Neris
    Scott
    King
    Ort

I'm starting to feel good about this bullpen come playoff time.

Playoff Pressly takes it to another level.

Astros are not coming anywhere close to a WS title with this defense.

When is Joe Espada going to address it?

Whitcomb needs to move up the order, he should be 7th

Whitcomb hitting 7th or 8th or 9th matters how? If he's gonna get on base a bunch, why wouldn't you bat him 9th in front of Altuve?

Stick him in a spot and leave him there.

I want a guy who gets on base a bunch to get as many AB's as possible. The higher in the order the more AB's he gets.

BTW, if they play the lineup I would like to see Espada put out there against RHP, then Whitcomb would be batting 8th and Meyers 9th.

So you want Altuve up with the bases empty as many times as possible?

I thought I made this clear. I want the best hitters to get the most AB's. I also want the #9 hitter to have speed. That way if he gets on even by way of FC he can score on a hit from Altuve/Bregs/Yordan/Diaz.
