All I know.. is that the best fans in this forum were probably the ones who were still posting from 2010-2014. A lot of us lived in the minor league threads though haha.
Actually the check swing right before that last pitch was completely blown (from every angle, looks like he went around)... so technically the breaks evened themselves out right then/there. That Diaz hit that should have been down the line... was actually one they could have caught. Would have totally epitomized their defense that game if they had made that play.
Remember games where Framber and C.Javier had big leads in not 1-2 game at least a handful of games, he rode them too long to try to get them victories. This is where Dusty fails. We all know Montero cost us a few games, but there are countless games he try to get starters a win, or relievers an inning. Numbers don't lie, H.Brown has a 4+ ERA.. Brown and C.Javier, if they don't have it, can't keep them in too long.
That game was there for the taking.....We outhit them and still lost. I knew Dusty should've pulled Hunter going into the 7th. And then Dusty still didn't pull him after the first hard hit. And then the homer next. Very predictable. It's like he's making decisions in slow motion. He really needs to stop being so greedy with Hunter. Just let him leave feeling good about himself in a quality start. A repeat of his last start. Aren't they supposed to be monitoring his total innings count anyway?
Hunter Brown gives up a near .900 OPS the third time through the order but I guess Dusty doesn't pay attention to these "fan stats"
The Angels start LHSP the next 2 days. I am hoping Abreu needs a 10 day stint on the IL for his back issue, gets treatment and comes back before September strong as as productive as he was in June. It would be interesting to see who they would bring up to replace him. I expect Abreu to start the next 2 games, but Kessinger will if he is still hurting. I think it's getting harder and harder for Dusty to sit Diaz, but I don't know if hecwill break down and actually start him at 1B. I see a lot of DH while Yordan plays LF in the future.
I think Abreu hasn't been right all season. Hope he is out for at least 10 days and gets evaluated and treated. Might also give him an optical exam. He is a major leaguer and "can't find the ball." I am serious. I suspect his vision has changed.
Bruh who tf is setting the damn schedule, all the games were at 6 or something..... 11am? Seriously...
