I want 108 wins. Let's sweep the Dbacks and go from there. We would then need to win 5 of our last 6.
So the Yankees finally play someone and guess what? They lose. Hilarious! Don't let those victories over the Sisters of the Poor fool you. 45-43 over their last 88 games and probably gonna get swept by the Blue Jays.
Well we should be outraged that Dubon is even starting a playoff game and possibly even upset that he's on the playoff roster to begin with. I don't think anyone on here can justify that he be allowed on our playoff roster. And don't give me the lame "but he plays center field".
Springer has 19 postseason homers in around 260 ABs. This would translate closer to 40 for a full season. Maybe that’s why we remember him with more pop
Dubon's good games are 1 for 4. He's a bench utility guy or defensive replacement for subpar OFers. He who shall not be named uses him like 2021 Brantley.
It's like Correa for me, just seems like that dude was made to be the next power hitting SS following the footsteps of ARod. Since Correa came up in 2015 Altuve 169 Correa 154 Correa averages right at 21 HRs a season and has never even threatened a 30 homer season. 18 HRs in 301 post season ABs however Altuve 23 HRs in post season 322 ABs That makes Altuve nearly a 50 homer guy over a full season. That's insane. A deep playoff run and Altuve has a real shot at breaking the MLB record for HRs (29).
I thought the signing made sense at the time (we were in our injury phase of the season), and he seemed to be an Aledmys clone (.260 hitter, plays all over the place). But alas he's a liability in the outfield and he can't hit the side of the proverbial barn.
In my mind, he was a A Diaz replacement until A Diaz returned to form. I was unaware of his personal connection to *****.
I want 108 wins with a heavy scrub representation. I say that because that's what we'll get, so might as well embrace it.
Meyers seems to be doing better in his second stint in AAA, is there any possibility he makes the postseason roster as a backup CF instead of Dubon?
With Click having the final decision, I think there is a better chance Meyers makes the postseason roster over Dubon.
No. Brantley didn't make it back so there was an extra roster spot available when Diaz returned. But who would have thought he would be used as often as he has?
The dynamic appears to support conflict on some level between Click and Dusty. But it's not clear who, if either, has Crane's confidence if the two can't work together. So far, it appears Click makes the roster decisions, with advice and Dusty makes the Line-up and Playing decisions, with advice. This is why roster decisions based on Dusty's line-ups and Playing time is inferred to be a schism by many.
