Getting even with complaining fans is not a smart managerial strategy. I doubt Crane will go after "pay back," he wants a winning club.
Exactly. Dude needs a good shrink. He was not seeing the ball well and just mentally looked utterly defeated out there.
Anyone been to spring training recently? I just got a 4 pack to surprise our 10 year old and wanted to see if anyone had any advice. I've never been. Was always a dream to take my grandfather, but we never made it. Currently looking at a few AirB&B/VBRO's.
Yall are tripping, he was in a slump which happens to him all the time. His body language wasn't that much different than other times he has slumped. It was probably killing him not being able to contribute. Tuck will be fine next year and challenge for a 30-30 season while probably being in the top 5 mvp.
I hope we trade some of our pitching surplus to free up room for a top 3 rotation type signing. I'm definitely down for trading framber to land a star like soto
I was curious as to why no players came out to check on him or just came out of the dugout at all and at least stare down Chapman.

I wonder if Chas and Yainer are included in post season player outings like MMA like they usually do...
I'm dead serious. Make this happen somehow. Crane was ready to pull the trigger on Bryce Harper as a rental.
Yankees appear to be shopping Kyle Higashioka. I would not be opposed to adding him as the backup C provided the prospect cost was minimal. He is an excellent defensive C and while he is a poor hitter, he is not nearly as poor as Maldonado and I think there’s actually just a bit of upside to his bat. I would prefer Tom Murphy or Victor Caratini, but I would take Higashioka over a guy like Austin Hedges.
I think all we need on offense is a left fielder. Let's make it official and make Chas regular cf. Jose came around and I think will be just fine at 1b. Tuve, bregman, Alvarez, Tucker, Jose b, Chas, New lf, Diaz, Pena is a pretty good line up. Starting pitching can potentially be Jv, valdez, lmj, hunter, javier, and Garcia. That would mean france joins the bullpen with perhaps needing a high leverage reliever or 2 (if neris isn't signed) All in all the biggest change for astros next year won't come from free agency but from players coming back from injury (lmj/garcia) and players getting back to their old selves (valdez/javier/ playoff tucker )
And he's a lefty so would be a bonus. But it'll be interesting. Apparently he struggled in the WBC and the WBC balls are closer to the MLB balls rather than the NPB balls. I wonder after practice he can adjust and be dominant with the MLB balls.
