Severino and Montas seem more appealing, just from an age factor . . . I could see any of them on a bargain basement, prove it deal. But wouldn't a move like that mean that we are moving a starter?
What a nice guy. He said he loves working with Diaz and joked that fans will be happy next year. Said he works with Maldy in the off-season usually and preferred maldy. His kids, wife and mother were SUPER thrilled to be in New York. He's leaving to NYC if I has to guess.
Every time I have heard Framer speak he had an interpreter. Did not know he could speak English. I hope the clerk charged him double for the candy bars since he was such a disappointment in the playoffs. He is definitely not among my favorite Astros at the moment.
Yordan also speaks English, but it seems the club shields the players from the media by saying an interpreter is needed.
Weird cuz I saw a few fans speak to him in English and he told them he didn't understand English lol. Was probably his way of telling them to fk off. I sat next to him and he was honestly one of the nicest people I've ever met.
Somewhere, some random jamoke with the Twitter account Kyle064643 is hyperventilating trying to type out a joke about trash cans.
I would like a Eovaldi type pitcher. A guy who’s just going to come after you relentlessly, and not back down no matter the strike zone or situation. Feel like we’ve got too many starters that need a certain zone to be called for success and nibble too much. I know verlander has that mentality but age hinders his ability to be successful multiple times a series. Brown may have the stuff for that eventually, but I don’t know what his mental make up is.
I fully expect the Rangers to overpay Montgomery and go hard af after Hader. I don't think they will be outbid on either one. My guess is we will end up with Matt Moore Trade him for soto
It's not about affording first class, it's about spending money wisely and not being wasteful. These principles are important for all. I fly coach from time to time myself. On a short flight, or on a flight where I plan to sleep, first class is a waste of $1000's of dollars. Hold your nose, avoid eye contact, put your headphones on -- flying in the coach cabin can be done without incident.
I think Brown is intriguing. Certainly has a plus fastball and plus offspeed stuff. Control and mental fortitude don't seem to be his strengths from time to time. I don't think he's as bad as Framber mentally, but I don't know. I'm rooting for him because I don't know how much we are going to fortify the rotation via FA or trades.
We need to hold on to Hunter Brown. I think he's going to continue to develop and turn into a top of the rotation pitcher.
