Anything starting with a 1 isn’t even competitive. I thought they’d go 7, 240ish. He’s going to get a bigger offer than that but it would be in the ballpark. 5, 160 is what you offer to look like you were trying to keep him without actually doing so.
No knowledgeable Astros’ fan thinks that is a serious run at retaining him. If you were trying to keep him and only offered five years, it would likely need to be 5 years, 200M because of the shorter contract.

Is there a protocol on which threads get deleted, locked, or merged? At worst, the first WS thread should've been locked. At best, it should've been merged with the real Official. Instead it was deleted. While the full-blown trash talk thread initiated by a brand new poster who's never engaged anything prior (who also talked trash about the Travis Scott concert tragedy) only gets locked?!!

These guys have lives outside this board and can't respond immediately to every reported post. It was also a weekend, generally family time for folks that work. They aren't at our beck and call 24/7.
