I look at this as an easy victory to snatch. We could be on a 5 game winning streak if we take care of business against the defeated Nationals.
That's the way I remembered it, but - one out, one on, that's not so bad, right? I wonder if the toughest thing will be bringing extra-innings, one-run-and-we-lose intensity to what will feel like the beginning of a game.
If we manage to win both games tomorrow and the Brewers beat the Cardinals, we'll be 2 games back of 1st place. The Brewers would be 45-40 and we'd be 43-42. On the other hand, if we lose both games and the Cardinals win, we'll be 5 games back. The Cardinals would be 47-40 and we'd be 41-44. Big day tomorrow.
Is tomorrow's "double header" going to be televised or only the scheduled game? Also, do you have the start time if the 1st game is earlier?
for some reason i could have sworn that i read or remembered them having a runner on 2nd...he's on 1st apparently. that helps.
Been waiting for this game to end for weeks. To see Miggy end it with the walk-off error just really pissed me off. That completes a two-game sweep by the Nationals--the worst team in decades (along with the '02 Tigers). That's just awesome.
