Well this would be a real nice win being down 5 runs but I just see us falling short with the kind of year it has been

Shocking that Jennings is now 1-6, heck he looked like crap at RR when he was pitching there.

His stuff is just so uninspiring.

Williams and Jennings.......wow Purpura, way to step up.

The Astros have been done for a while now.

What I'm "hoping" for is a nice turnaround in the second half similar to what we had in that disastrous 2000 season--they were actually pretty good in the second half, once the Cards had run away with it (IMO). The first half was mid-70s-ish horribleness; the second half was a team playing at like a .550 clip with lots of things to look forward to the next season. (The ".550" is a GUESS from a SEVEN-year-old memory, people :D ).

I think we should trade Jennings and Williams.

And Ensberg! And Lane! And Quintero, and McLemore, and Moehler! That's a *seven* player package right THERE, baby. That should net us TWO sixpacks. :D

OK...just watched some of the game...Question for the group:

Does Lance Berkman have the worst baseball instincts of anyone who's ever lived, or merely anyone you've ever seen?

    I'll hang up and listen.

Was listening on the radio. I was so pissed; I thought about sending a letter to for Alysson (or however you spell it):

    Dear Lance,

Please remember, when running the bases, that you are neither smart nor fast. Watch your base coach.

    Yours truly,

i posted earlier in the season that him and lee are the worst baserunners on the planet. lee hasn't been as glaring recently but lance keeps on trucking. i mean he usually more than makes up for it, but i guess we can just write off this year for everyone but lee, pence, and loretta.
