Yup, 0.250 is definitely sounds about right. Astros fans who post without knowing any numbers are awesome.

Wow I've never seen a catcher replaced mid-game because of defense ... That has got to be brutal for your mind

Well Cat... the luck definitely has to be evening out, at this point... this game is right there for the taking.

EDIT: I guess I spoke too soon... its up to Burke now.

Good God Adam ... what a horrible time for a K

Edit: To not score here is another demoralizing moment .. Burke needs to lift this whole team up right now!

Bases loaded none out, and we're on the verge of not scoring a single run. Unreal.

    Let's go Chris!

If Burke gets a hit here, he's the new everyday outfielder (rotating between LF-CF)... if not, I dunno. (just putting a little bit more pressure on the kid).

Biggio's AB really annoyed me... I know he doesn't make pitches work much, but out of the three batters in this situation, he's the one who has the best track record of DOING something.

    Absolutely embarassing.

Also, the ump didn't help in the Burke AB. That second strike was about a foot outside.

Major....please, please please....let that be the final post you ever make.

First of all, I love baseball fans that think statistics are gospel. Ausmus has a whole bunch of worthless hits to start the season, but, you're obviously too dumb to have that explained to you, so, i'll provide you with statistics.

    Ausmus:

    2005 .258
    2004 .248
    2003 .229
    2002 .257
    2001 .232

could go on and on. how funny is it that you pull out individual months.
what an awful post. my god. gets me fired up reading a smartass remark with no argument to back it up.

seriously, never post in my threads again.

You never answered my question. Who would you have signed, Mr. Armchair GM?

Eric Munson should have used instead of Biggio.

Well, if you're going to b**** about things, at least have a solution in mind. I'd like to know what free agent from last offseason that we could've realistically signed that we didn't. One that's just tearing up the league right now.

Ausmus and Everett certainly aren't good hitters. But, this game is tied if both of them could simply touch the baseball with their bats. Not get a hit... just a little tapper to short or second like they so routinely do. That's more than a bad offense... that's absurdly horrific luck. But, we've still got two innings.

Worthless hits to start the season? You mean when Lane was leading the team in runs scored with Ausmus and Everett at the bottom of the lineup, and when we had the best record in baseball?

You claim April is a fluke, yet it is extremely similar to the 4 months surrounding it. Explain how that's a fluke? And you claim there's no way he'll be batting above 0.250 by season's end, yet he did last year, and in 2 of the 5 years you point out. Stats in the hands of a moron (you) are a terrible thing.

And when did this become your thread?
